We've got a great casual entertaining menu for you this week, along with a classic comfort food dish and a fancy but simple-to-prepare fish meal.

What! No Turkey?

Not this year ... but next year we promise my complete Thanksgiving Dinner. Turkey & all the fixin's ... and homemade raviolis too! ... to serve up to 28 people! Stay tuned.

Roasted Chickens w/ Lemon & Orange

Roasted chicken seasoned with fresh herbs, citrus and garlic make a fabulous presentation for an easy no-fuss meal for friends or family. Not-your-average roast chicken, this is far superior to what you buy in the deli and your house will smell terrific! Add our Arugula, Fennel & Orange Salad and Baked Beets, finish it all off with Ma's Apple Pie and you've got a great menu for a casual dinner party. See our Entertaining page for more details.

Shepherd's Pie

There's just something about old fashioned Shepherd's pie on a cold winter's night that warms the soul! This pie can be made as one regular-sized pie or several individual ones, which make perfect "Reach Out" meals. If you substitute beef for the lamb, you will be making "Cottage Pie".

Sea Bass & Shrimp with Spicy Tomato Sauce Over Braised Fennel

Fresh fennel adds a unique and pleasant taste to fish in tomato sauce. Never had fennel before? This dish is a great introduction to the delicate & wonderful flavor of braised fennel. You can make this dish as spicy (or not) as you want by controlling the amount of red pepper flakes so don't be afraid to try it. Cod, haddock or halibut can be used in place of the sea bass.
